Founded by two Royal Engineers.
We’re precision engineers who happen to make knives — accuracy, craftsmanship and uncompromising attention to detail, transformed into functional works of art. Every piece is a future antique: designed for a reason, then yours to add a story to.
Founded in 2012 by former Royal Engineers Dean Boyd and Joel Andreas, Emberleaf was born from a shared obsession with edged tools and an unwillingness to compromise. What began as a passion project has grown into one of the UK’s most respected custom knife workshops.
Featured in Sporting Rifle, Shooting Times & Country Magazine, BDS Journal and Shooting Sports.
What owners say
“The most beautiful knife I have ever held — a treasured family heirloom.
My extended-handled desert ironwood Bran has held its edge for years from gentle stropping alone. As a deer stalker all my kit is in continuous use and must earn its keep. These knives are no exception.”
“The Raven is a beautifully handmade knife — balanced, sharp, a pleasure to use. It will last me a lifetime.”
“After three months of extensive use, I'm now sending it back to use the sharpening service that Emberleaf provide.”
