Shipping & delivery

Every Emberleaf knife is sent direct from the workshop in Petworth, signed-for and insured via DHL. Rates are flat per zone and shown at checkout once a delivery country is selected.

Rates are per order, regardless of cart size. The US tariff scales with the order subtotal (ex-VAT) and is added at checkout.

VAT

UK prices include 20% VAT. For orders shipped outside the UK, VAT is removed at checkout and the export price is what you pay.

United States — tariff

US destinations are charged £37 flat shipping plus a 13% tariff on the order subtotal. This covers DHL’s import handling and US duty on knives, so the parcel arrives without further charges on the doorstep.

Rest of the world

We ship worldwide. For destinations outside the zones above we put the paperwork together by hand — usually back to you within a working day. Get in touch with your delivery country and we’ll send a quote.

Age verification

UK law requires us to confirm the recipient is 18 or over. DHL takes a signature on delivery, and you’ll be asked to confirm your age at checkout.

Common shipping questions

  • Where do you ship?

    UK, EU + Switzerland, Canada, the US — and elsewhere on request. Everything goes signed-for via DHL from the workshop in Petworth. See full rates.

  • How long does delivery take?

    UK: next working day after dispatch. EU: 3–5 working days. US / Canada: 5–7 working days. Customs clearance can add a day or two on longer routes; tracking lands in your inbox the moment the parcel scans into DHL.

  • Will I owe duty or tax on arrival?

    For US destinations we collect a flat 13% tariff at checkout so the parcel arrives with nothing further to pay. For other destinations, import VAT and duty (where applicable) are paid on receipt and vary by country — please check your local rules before ordering.

  • Can it be delivered to a workplace or third-party address?

    Yes, but the recipient must be 18 or over and present to sign. UK age-verification on delivery isn't a formality — DHL won't release the parcel without it.
